Get ready for the Larkins.

A first look at the new show starring Bradley Walsh has been released by ITV.

The highly anticipated show is based on the much loved 90’s show The Darling Buds of May and will be launching in October.

It has been filmed at various locations in Kent including Margate, Broadstairs and Faversham.

Viewers will be in for a treat when the show hits screens this autumn as the Larkins has a stellar cast of performers.

Taking on the role of pop Larkin, made famous by Only Fools And Horses legend David Jason, will be The Chase star Bradley Walsh.

The Darling Buds Of May Larkin Family (Back Row L to R) Primrose [Abigail Rokison], Ma Larkin [Pam Ferris], Pa Larkin [David Jason], Mariette [Catherine Zeta Jones], (Front Row L to R) Montgomery [Ian Tucker], Zinnia [ Katherine Giles], Petunia [Christina Giles], Charley [Philip Franks], Victoria [Stephanie Ralph].

And stepping into Pam Ferris’s shoes, as Ma Larkin, will be Joanna Scanlan who has a number of TV and film credits to her name.

Supporting Bradley and Joanna on the bill will be Bridgerton's Sabrina Bartlett, former Doctor Who Peter Davison and even Bradley's son Barney.

In the trailer, just released by ITV, The Larkins looks like it is staying true to the winning formula of the original.

Centring around the Larkin’s chaotic family life in a small village, the clip hints at the drama to come.

It says ‘Charley loves Mariette’, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones in the original, ‘but so does Tom’!

With a love triangle on the cards, pop Larkin’s mischievous antics, and beautiful Kent scenery on display, it’s no wonder ITV thinks viewers will ‘Fall in Love with the Larkins’ this autumn.

In fact ITV is so sure of it’s success that they announced a Christmas special for the Larkins even though the first episode is yet to air.

The upcoming show is not a remake, but promises to bring "the warmth, optimism and escapism of the Larkin family for a modern generation".
