The A249 Sheppey Crossing is closed in both directions this evening (September 13) due to a police incident.
The road is closed between the B2005 and the A250 near Queenborough.
Police are leading the response with the ambulance service also in attendance.
A diversion route is in place and road users are warned to expect disruption.
Kingsferry Bridge has also been closed, according to Inrix.

Northbound traffic is being diverted via the hollow triangle diversion symbol
Northbound diverted traffic will exit the A249 at Ridham Dock onto the northbound Sheppey Way towards Sheerness and the roundabout junction with the B2231.
At this junction it will exit into the southbound Lower Road towards the roundabout junction with the A249 where it can resume.
Southbound traffic is being diverted via the hollow diamond diversion symbol
Southbound Diverted traffic will exit the A249 at Cowstead Corner, onto the B2231 North bound Lower Road then travel the reverse of the northbound route.
