Images have emerged of the aftermath of a serious collision in Dartford that put five police officers in the hospital.
At around 3.20am this morning a Kent Police patrol car was involved in a collision with a white Toyota Prius which was operating as a taxi in the town centre (Sunday, September 12).
Five officers were rushed to hospital to be treated for their injuries which varied in severity.
None of the officer's injuries are believed to be life-threatening at this point, Kent Police has said.
Fortunately it's also believed no serious injures were sustained by anyone who was travelling in the taxi.
Pictures taken from the scene show numerous cars involved have been severely damaged.
The incident took place near Prospect Park shopping centre and from the images, it also appears that the impact took place at the crossroads between Hythe Road, Westgate Road, Home Gardens and the A2026.
Large amounts of debris can be seen to be lying in the middle of the junction.
It also seems that the White Toyota's front right wing came off particularly badly, with the images showing the car leaning significantly to the right.
Witnesses are being urged to come forward after five police officers were injured during a collision in Dartford.
Enquiries are being carried out by officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, who would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam or CCTV footage.
