New pictures show Thanet beaches packed on the 'last day' of the Kent heatwave.

Large crowds flocked to the coast on Wednesday (September 8) to soak up the sun one last time before the warm blast comes to an end.

There were large queues at nearby ice cream parlours as well as fish and chip restaurants.

The BBC were also in town, filming the latest series of Killing Eve, meaning a diversion was put in place around Old Town.

Although this caused additional traffic in and around the area, that didn't stop people having a good time in the sun.

Along the coast in Broadstairs, one man could even be seen riding a jet ski in the glorious sunshine.

Others were seen smiling while walking along the seafront, and enjoying a bite to eat in local cafés.
