Kent Police intercept drug drive suspect after truck stolen

Kent Road Police caught up with a man suspected of driving under the influence of drugs who had allegedly made off in a stolen truck.

Officers responded very quickly to a theft in progress report in the Greenhithe area and intercepted him driving towards Erith.

The suspect ran off on foot but was quickly apprehended and arrested on Sunday evening (September 5).

Kent Police tweeted at 11.33pm: "Report of vehicle theft in progress in Greenhithe area, vehicle sighted travelling towards Erith.

"Vehicle located by @KentRoadPolice male Made off on foot, chased by officers and arrested for theft of motor vehicle and drug drive. Owner reunited with vehicle. #GoosenAmes #NiceJob"
