Four fire engines attend domestic blaze in Folkestone

Kent Fire and Rescue Service today (September 4) attended a domestic property fire in Folkestone, with four engines sent to the scene in Ingles Lane.

Crews arrived to a blaze spreading through the first floor of the building.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and a main jet to tackle the blaze, which had also spread to a nearby outbuilding.

One casualty was passed into the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics for precautionary checks.

Crews were at the location for around two hours and the exact cause of the blaze has not yet been ascertained.
