Holland & Barrett has become the latest new resident to St James’.
The health food chain has moved from its smaller Biggin Street premises in Dover and opened a branch at the town’s St James’ Retail and Leisure Park yesterday.
The move has created two jobs and the 1,378 sq ft premises includes a consultation room where customers can get one to one advice from specialists.
There is also provision for online shoppers with the new premises having two Click and Collect areas
for those who have placed orders on the store website.
The premises have been fitted using 100% recyclable materials such as metalwork, wood, plastics and fibreboard.
Store manager Laura Godfrey, who has been with the store chain for more than 14 years, said: “As a team we are incredibly proud of the new store.
” It offers our customers a wider range of products. We have a team of trained experts who will be on hand to advise people , on their needs, and to recommend products that will be right for them.”
Holland & Barrett is the latest business to leave Dover precinct for St James’ since the complex first opened in March 2018.
Stores that hace done his have included.Marks and Spencer, Shoe Zone and Superdrug.
Tradres such as Costa and Greggs continue tp have premises both in the precinct and St James’.
Holland & Barrett is a specialist health food retailer, and one of Europe’s largest health and wellness retailers. It has a range of vitamins, supplements, specialist food, sports nutrition and ethical beauty brands.
It has more than 1,600 stores across 16 countries, more than half in the UK and Ireland.
