Live M25 Dartford Crossing traffic updates as queues stretch back to Orpington

Congestion and queues are developing on the M25 near the Dartford Crossing heading anticlockwise.

The section of motorway impacted by the delays stretches from Junction 1A at the A206, near the Dartford Crossing, all the way back to Junction 4 at Orpington.

Long delays are expected, with current travel time estimated at over 60 minutes.

Delays have spread to other nearby main roads, with the A2 also experiencing delays between Bexley and Bean.

All lanes reopened after accident caused delays further along motorway

Queues elsewhere on the M25 have been cleared, following an incident involving three cars near Clacket Lane Services.

The incident caused delays from Broomlands Lane to J5 (M26).

All lanes have now been reopened.

Maps show traffic stretching back to Bexley and Swanley

The impact of the delays near the Dartford Crossing is extensive – with heavy traffic stretching back several miles from the tunnel.

On the A2, traffic now stretches back past Bexley, whilst queues are developing as far back as Swanley on the M25.
