Woman ‘headbutted and kneed in the head’ in violent Swanley assault

An investigation is under way after a woman was violently assaulted in Swanley.

The incident happened in a children's play area off Leechcroft Avenue at around 6.50pm last Friday (August 20).

It is reported that the woman was headbutted and kneed in the head during the incident after being followed from Swanley High Street.

The suspect, who is known to the victim, is aged in his 40s and was wearing dark clothing when the incident took place.

Officers attended the scene and carried out a search for the suspect, however he could not be found.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the assault, or who may have any other information to assist the investigation, to call Kent Police on 01622 604100, quoting reference 46/153566/21.
