A Folkestone restaurant owner has hit back at customers who left them one-star reviews on TripAdvisor.
One diner, ‘Karen W’, alleged she was physically assaulted by the owner during her visit in February.
In a review entitled 'Awful Food – Awful Owner', Karen wrote: "I was physically assaulted by the owner, my crime? I questioned the price of sausage on toast (which is not listed on his menu) as I found £4 rather steep.
"Whilst having a civil conversation with his assistant he called me a c*** and twisted my arm up my back which was incredibly painful which I am now receiving treatment for.
"With regards to the food it was two loose sausages in a box and two loose pieces of bread which must have been in the toaster for 5 seconds!

"I feel the need/duty to write this to warn other women that go to the shop."
But the owner of The Full English in Folkestone, Andrew Burnett, denied such an event happened and did not hold back in his response.
He said it this is the fourth or fifth time the review had been taken down after suggesting they were lying.
He joked: “You decided to run into our café singing winner winner chicken dinner carrying a live chicken under your arm while wearing a pink tutu and high heels.”
This is one of two of Karen’s reviews on the site with the other only leaving a three-star review to a restaurant in Dover.
Andrew concluded: “We can both make up stories only mine is more believable.”
And it's not the first time the proud owner has hit back on a one-star review.
One disgruntled customer, named only as 'Fizzmf', wrote a review entitled 'Horrible food'.
The reviewer complained: “The vegan sausages were so dry with a lack of taste, worst vegan sausages I have ever eaten. No seasoning on the eggs or mushrooms.”
They did not stop with the food and similarly complained their tea was “so watery” they threw it away.
The review continued: “When ordering you do change your mind on food so as soon as I went in to collect, the employee said, ‘I’m a nightmare’ just because I asked to change a few things around.”
The customer claimed they would not be returning – but the owner did not seem to mind.
He replied: “We allow a maximum of 1 swap per breakfast but you being a Karen went rogue and decided to create your own menu repeatedly changing your mind then decided to have a full blown conversation with your partner about what he wanted while I was left waiting on the phone so yes you are a nightmare customer!!!”
Andrew defended his food and said he was “extremely happy with the quality” claiming “you cannot please everybody all the time.”
He added: “I am honestly glad you will not be ordering again, I have not got a spare 15 minutes to take your order as we are busy serving customers that know what they actually want.”
The Full English has an average rating of 4.5 from 100 reviews on TripAdvisor with most critics gushing about the “amazing” food.
It also ranks 24th out of 130 restaurants in Folkestone.
