Suspected arson attack as fire crews tackle caravan blaze on A21

Firefighters responded to reports of a caravan fire in Pembury yesterday evening (Monday August 16).

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the A21 at Pembury, at around 8.15pm, to tackle the blaze.

It's believed that the caravan had been abandoned and set alight deliberately.

Crews worked to extinguish the flames, using two engines and high-pressure hose reel jets.

It took around 25 minutes for crews to put out the fire.

No casualties were reported.
