Live M20 traffic updates as multi-vehicle crash causes huge delays

Huge delays have hit the M20 following a crash this morning (August 16) involving several vehicles.

A van has reportedly overturned on the London-bound carriageway near to Junction 4.

Traffic operators say there are "long delays", queuing traffic and three lanes (of four) are closed.

Several vehicles are said to have been involved in the incident just before 10.30am before Junction 4 A228 Castle Way (Leybourne / Snodland).

Van 'collided with central reservation'

Welcome news here as Kent Police confirms no serious injuries have been reported from the incident.

A spokesman told us the force was called at 10.23am to a collision on the London bound M20 between junctions 5 and 4, and that a van collided with the central reservation before rolling onto its side.

The scene at around 10.40am

Officers and Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended and no serious injuries were reported. Lane closures are currently place.

Lanes are still moving past the incident, according to Highways England, but as their pictures show it's created a major bottleneck.
