Motorway closures due to accidents and roadworks are a frustrating part of everyday life travelling by car, and could see unnecessary delays for many motorists.
Having to reroute your journey whilst halfway through it is not a pleasant task.
Therefore, knowing of any road closures ahead of travel is the best way to be prepared about any eventualities.
You can't prepare for accidents causing delays, but you can be armed with the knowledge of road closures that are certain to go ahead.
Kent Live breaks down the areas that will be affected on the M2, M20 and A282 this weekend according to Highways England.

Friday August 6
The Junction 7 exit slip road going eastbound on the M2 is closed for sign replacement works.
Diversions will take place on a local authority network.
This will take place from 8pm on 6th August to 6am on 7th August.
Eastbound and westbound between the Junction 4 and Junction 6 carriageway, slip road and lanes will be closed due to resurfacing works.
Diversions will take place via Highways England and a local authority network.
This will also be happening from 8pm on 6th August to 6am on 7th August.
Additionally works that have been taking place on the M20 eastbound and westbound between junction 7 to junction 10 since 18th July will be continuing.
Lane closures, slip road closures, contraflow and 50mph speed restrictions are in place for the installation of a barrier.
Saturday August 7
The A282 northbound at the Dartford Crossing will have the tunnel closed for maintenance works between 10pm on 7th August to 5am on 8th August.
As a result the Junction 1a northbound entry slip road will be closed as well as the northbound carriageway.
Sunday August 8
Tunnel closure for maintenance works will also be occurring late on Sunday evening at the Dartford Crossing between 10pm on 8th August through to 5am on 9th August.
The northbound carriageway will be closed with no access through Dartford Tunnels for vehicles over 4.8m.
