Highways England have confirmed that the Dartford Crossing QE2 bridge remains fully closed, and it is unclear as to when the bridge will reopen.

Fire inspectors have concerns about the safety of the road surface after a van caught fire, having broken down on the QE2 Bridge in Essex.

The Dartford Crossing has since had closures in both directions, and traffic disruption is severe clockwise, stretching back well over 10 miles.
