Infection rates are falling across Kent as the country moves past the peak of the current wave of coronavirus.

According to the latest government data, all 13 districts in the county have recorded a week-on-week decrease in their infection rate and number of new cases.

Despite this, there are still some individual neighbourhoods within each Kent district that are seeing high infection rates far above the national average.

England's average currently sits at 351.8 per 100,000 people, but 60 Kent and Medway neighbourhoods are seeing their rate soar above this.

The neighbourhood with the highest infection rate in the latest data for the week to July 25 is West Kingsdown in Sevenoaks, with a rate of 652.6, having recorded 39 new cases.

Deal East in Dover had the lowest infection rate of 75.7, with just five new cases recorded last week.

However neighbourhoods with fewer than three cases are not included in the data.
