Four fire engines race to tackle house fire in Ashford

Four fire engines have raced to tackle a house fire in Ashford tonight (Sunday).

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said shortly after 9pm that they were currently at the scene of a fire in a property on Bromley Green Road, Ashford.

In a statement on their website, they said :"Crews have been using compressed air foam and hose reel jets to tackle the fire.

"No one is believed to have been injured in this incident."

Firefighters attended around 6pm with four engines, using a high-pressure hose reel jet, compressed air foam system (CAFs) and breathing apparatus.

They attended the scene with a height vehicle and the British Red Cross.
