The most recent data was released on Friday (July 23) and covers the period of time up to July 21.

Across England there have been at least 286,765 cases of the Delta variant, and likely far more.

Of those, at least 3,601 have been recorded in one of Kent's districts.

It comes after the latest data revealed that there were more than 7,800 new COVID cases in Kent in just one week.

Medway has had more confirmed Delta variant cases than anywhere else in the county.

The conurbation has seen 524 confirmed Delta cases since records began, almost 100 more than any other Kent district.

Canterbury has had the second-most with 469, while Maidstone comes in third with 452.

Thanet, the least-infected part of Kent and the second-least infected town in England, has unsurprisingly had the fewest number of Delta cases (116).
