Coronavirus infection rates have more than doubled in four Kent areas as surge following 'freedom day' continues.
Dartford is now one of the most infected parts of the South East as 615 new cases were recorded in the seven days to July 16, equivalent to 546.2 cases per 100,000 people.
This is a substantial increase from the 268 new cases recorded in the previous week, equivalent to 238 cases per 100,000 people.
Previously being one of the least infected parts of Kent, new cases have also skyrocketed in Swale.

Some 656 people tested positive in the East Kent district over the same period, equivalent to 434.1 cases per 100,000 people.
This is up from the 319 cases recorded in the previous week.
Infection rates have also doubled in Folkestone and Hythe, and Ashford.
The amount of new cases in Folkestone and Hythe has risen from 215 to 438, while numbers in Ashford have gone up from 207 to 439.
