A motorcyclist is in a ‘critical condition’ at a London hospital after a crash in Ashford.

The man, in his 50s, collided with a car on the A2042 near Flanders Field roundabout yesterday lunchtime (July 18).

The crash involved a Silver Peugeot 307 and a blue Suzuki GSXR 1000 motorbike near Hamstreet slip road shortly before midday.

Police said the motorcyclist was riding along Bad Munstereifel Road, A2042, heading away from the Flanders Field roundabout when the incident happened.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Both vehicles attempted to take the Hamstreet slip road towards the A2070 towards Brenzett when they were involved in the collision.

"The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a critical condition.

"Investigators would like to talk to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dash cam or mobile phone footage.
