Her Facebook post read: "Has anyone seen Lizzie? She went missing last night from Maidstone and has not been seen since 17:30.

"She has been struggling severely with her mental health this year.

"The police have been searching with full force for her since 22:00, but no success yet."

She reiterated the message to call the police if a member of the public was to find her or take her to hospital as she might be quite vulnerable.

The Kent Police statement said: "Elizabeth is white, aged 27, and around five feet and six inches tall.

"She was last seen wearing black leggings, a black hooded top and a black zip up coat and white trainers.

"She is also likely to be wearing glasses and may have headphones on. Elizabeth was carrying a black Nike backpack, with a pink and red pattern on it.

"Anyone who may have seen her, or who has any other information, should call 999 quoting reference 12-1703."
