Cases of the Delta variant continue to rise across Kent, according to the latest Government figures.
Public Health England has begun releasing data on the number of cases confirmed in each local authority of the variant first identified in India, known as the Delta variant.
The figures mean that it is possible to track how the coronavirus variant is spreading throughout Kent, and where it is most prevalent.
The most recent data was released on July 2 and covers the period of time up to June 30 – in that time, 1,662 cases of the Delta variant were recorded in Kent.

The Delta variant is most prevalent in Medway, where 295 cases have been recorded.
