Usually millionaires do come and go but many of them have chosen to stay here, meaning you really may bump into them one day.

Here are some of Kent's most high-profile, rich residents.

Jools Holland

Jools Holland

Cooling Castle's farmhouse in Rochester is the home of the musician Jools Holland, while the nearby barn is used as a wedding venue.

Recently the singer-songwriter had got a bee in his bonnet about loud noises coming from the venue next door.

For a decade he was locked in a dispute with the barn.

Now he is celebrating after Medway Council imposed stricter regulations over late night live music at the venue next door.

The irony is that Mr Holland, who also leads his own big-band, moved into the area in 2002 and chose the venue to marry his wife Christabel in 2005.

According to Celebs Trending Now, Jools has an estimated net worth of £3.7million.

June Brown

June Brown is thought to have moved into her home in the west end of Folkestone some years ago.

The EastEnders actress, famous for playing Dot Cotton, has backed a number of local campaigns, including one to save the Leas Pavilion.

The soap star has a mind-blowing net worth of between £1million and £3.8million, according to networthspedia.com.

Dame Kelly Holmes

Dame Kelly Holmes, from Hildenborough, is a retired middle distance athlete.

Holmes specialised in the 800 metres and 1500 metres events and won a gold medal for both distances at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.

Miriam Margoyles

Miriam – who played Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films – has been famous for decades.

She has a house in St Margaret's, near Dover and was at Cambridge at the same time as the Monty Python crew, won a BAFTA for a Martin Scorsese film (for Best Supporting Actress in The Age Of Innocence), and has starred in Blackadder, Jackanory, plus plenty of other hits.

Gloria Hunniford

Born in Northern Ireland, TV personality Gloria moved to the town a third of a century ago – just as her career on the British mainland started taking off.

Yet it was a quirk of fate which led this daytime telly dame to make her home in Sevenoaks. Like many others before and since it was the town's schools which drew her here in the first place.

At the time her youngest son, Michael was just 10 years old and after taking advice from her new Radio 2 boss she was told to head for Dulwich, Buckinghamshire or Sevenoaks.

She made for Sevenoaks first and the rest, as they say, is history.

"It is such a beautiful old town that I really, really love it," she said.

"People are always saying to me where are you going to move to and I am always saying I am not. It ticks all the boxes. It's close enough to London when I need it and we can be out in the country. I don't think I will ever move."

According to Celebs Trending Now, Gloria has an estimated net worth of £1.2million.

Bob Geldof

Superstar musician Bob Geldof is arguably Faversham's most famous resident.

He made headlines in 2015 for offering to let three refugee families stay at his Kent home.

We don't think he ever actually followed through though.

According to Celebs Trending Now, Bob has an estimated net worth of around £100million.

Joe Pasquale

Joe Pasquale

Joe Pasquale is a comedian, actor and TV presenter and is known to live in Higham.

He was crowned “King of the Jungle”. He also has a squeaky voice.

His net worth is estimated at a cool £5.5million.

Vic Reeves

Comedian Vic Reeves lives in Charing, in Ashford with his model wife Nancy Sorell and their two children.

And the celeb is an active member of his community, having joined a protest to keep the post office open in 2016.

His net worth is estimated at £5.7million.

Paul O’Grady

Comedian Paul O'Grady, aka Lily Savage, has lived in a Georgian farmhouse in Aldington for 20 years.

But the dog-lover's ballet-dancer husband Andre Portasio doesn't live with him.

Rumour has it that he also has quite a swish abode near the seaside in Deal – so maybe they shack up there?

According to IdolNetWorth, the famous presenter is worth a whopping £5.9million.

Paul Hollywood

Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood put his four bedroom home in Wingham on the market in 2016 for almost £800,000.

The TV chef last hit the headlines in a big way in April last year, when he moved in with his then 22-year-old model girlfriend after meeting her at the Duke William pub in Ickham.

Unfortunately they split recently and things have turned rather sour since.

In any case, he no longer lives in Wingham but he still has a swish country retreat near Ashford.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Paul Hollywood is worth £11.5million.

Len Goodman

The former Strictly Come Dancing judge runs a ballroom dance school in Dartford.

Here's hoping the 74-year-old isn't as harsh on them as he was on some of the BBC show's contestants.

Len's net worth is estimated at £10million.

Gregg Wallace

Gregg Wallace

In 2017 the 52-year-old moved from Whitstable after he bought Priory Wood Farmhouse, just outside the village of Biddenden.

And yes, before you ask, the kitchen is amazing.

According to CelebWorth, Gregg Wallace has an impressive net worth of around $5 million. At today’s current exchange rate, this is upwards of £3.5 million.

Sir Michael Gambon

Sir Michael Gambon, star of Dennis Potter’s television dramas and Harry Potter’s wizard films lives in Cobham part time.

His house there isn't quite Hogwarts but it's certainly large and grand.

His net worth is estimated to be around £10million.

Julian Clary

Stand-up comedian, author and television and radio presenter Julian Clary lives in Aldington.

He has lived in his house for more than 10 years now.

It actually used to be Noël Coward’s house and it's rumoured to be haunted. Eek.

His net worth is estimated to be around £3million.

Alan Carr

Comedian Alan Carr has previously hinted he may have moved to Kent.

The TV presenter, whose net worth is estimated to be around £10million, seemed to confirm the news on ITV's The Jonathan Ross Show.

Speaking with host Jonathan, Alan said he has moved to a farm with his husband, Paul Drayton.

He then went on to discuss his new neighbours – Paul O'Grady and Julian Clary – who, as we know, both live in Aldington.
