Experts were needed to deal with an unexploded wartime device found near the Kent coast today.
The item was discovered at a construction site on Lower Sandgate Road, Folkestone, at around midday.
Police were called to the spot too after the old device was uncovered.
A spokesman for Kent Police said the force was "called at around 12.10pm on Monday, June 14, following the discovery of an unexploded wartime device at a construction site in Lower Sandgate Road, Folkestone."
He added: "Officers attended and the device was safely dealt with by explosives experts who were also at the scene."
