Pictures on social media show plumes of smoke high in the air.
The westbound carriageway is currently closed and the emergency services have raced to the scene.

There is currently stationary traffic from Old Folkestone Road, Western Heights roundabout to B2011 Court Wood Interchange).

Pictures show firefighters on the scene of the A20 fire
Dramatic pictures taken by Faye Hackett have shown fireighters on the scene of the A20 fire in Dover.
The road is currently closed as emergency services tackle the blaze.
Traffic in both Dover and Folkestone will be affected as a result.
Kent Police have issued a statement
Kent Police was called to a report of a lorry fire on the A20, Londonbound, near Aycliffe at around 3.20pm on Monday 14 June 2021.
The carriageway is currently closed at the roundabout to assist Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
