M25 traffic is building after a crash involving a lorry and a van led to the closure of two lanes.

The motorway is clogged heading clockwise because of the collision in the Dartford area.

Congestion stretches to Junction 30 for Lakeside, according to the INRIX traffic and travel alerts service.

Highways England and the police have confirmed the crash, according to INRIX.

Lanes one and two of four are shut.

Subsequent reports suggest the crash was on the A282 between J1B and J2, with Kent Police and traffic officers at the scene.

The knock-on traffic effects are apparently leading to the M25 traffic congestion.
