Cyclist dies after electric pedal bike crash in Ashford

A man has died in hospital after a crash in Ashford.

The 31-year-old, from Kilburn in northwest London, was found with a head injury in Beaver Road.

Investigators believe he suffered the injury while riding an electric pedal bicycle between 9.55pm and 10.05pm on Wednesday (June 2 ).

Sadly, the man died in a hospital in London yesterday (June 5).

Officers from Kent Police investigating the incident have appealed for information.

A spokesman said: "Officers are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen the man before the collision and a woman who was driving a small white car who stopped at the scene.

"Anyone with information is urged to call Kent Police on 101, quoting reference SL/47/21."
