Emergency services descend on Hythe high street – live updates

Emergency services have descended on Hythe town centre this afternoon following an incident.

Police say they were called to a business premises in the High Street at 1.16pm today (June 5).

A spokesman for the force has confirmed that an assault took place inside.

The victim apparently suffered leg injuries which apparently have been reported not to be life threatening.

They added that the incident involved two people known to each other, but that no arrests have been made.

The spokesman added: "Officers are at the scene and are carrying out enquiries."
