Emergency services are responding to an incident at Viking Bay in Broadstairs this evening (Thursday, June 3).
An air ambulance has landed and several ambulance vehicles have also arrived at the scene.
Kent Live engagement producer Henry Collier said a large part of Viking Bay has been cleared.
It is understood members of the public have been told to move away from the beach.
