A van driver was allegedly struck in the face with a hammer and repeatedly punched after a traffic dispute in Rochester.
It is reported that the suspect got out of his white Ford Fiesta and smashed the window of the van before ‘assaulting’ the victim.
The incident took place on Watts Avenue shortly before 3pm on Monday (May 24) with the victim taken to hospital with injuries.
They have since been discharged.

Kent Police is now appealing for any witnesses or people with dash-cam footage to come forward.
Police described the suspect as white, aged in his 20s and between 5ft 8ins and 6ft tall. He was clean shaven and had brown hair and was wearing a dark t-shirt and black trousers.
After the alleged assault it is thought the suspect ran off before another man, who was previously unseen, is said to have entered his car.
He is thought to have picked him up further down the road before driving away.
In a statement the force said: “Police attended and the victim was taken to hospital with injuries. He has since been discharged. Officers are now urging anyone with information to contact them.
“Drivers with dashcams are also asked to check for any important footage which could assist the investigation. The suspect is described as white, aged in his 20s and between 5ft 8ins and 6ft tall. He was clean shaven and had brown hair and was wearing a dark t-shirt and black trousers.
