Supermarkets urgently recall pasties, kebabs, ice cream and more

Major supermarkets and stores are recalling a range of products amid health and safety fears.

These popular items include vegetable bakes, pies and iced buns, with reasons for their recall ranging from allergen warnings, to glass contamination.

The latter reason is why Greggs is urgently recalling its Vegetable Bakes over the possible presence of green glass in their Iceland store product.

The Chartered Trading Standard’s Institute (CTSI) has published information on items that have been recalled by suppliers or authorities.

Greggs

Morrisons Six Iced Buns

Greggs is extending its recall of Vegetable Bakes (2 pack) to include additional best before dates because the product may contain small pieces of green glass. The possible presence of glass makes this product unsafe to eat.

The product is sold via Iceland stores, with notices being put up at points of sale.

Morrisons is recalling Morrisons Six Iced Buns because they contain milk which is not emphasised in bold type on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to barley, and/or wheat (gluten), and/or milk or milk constituents, and/or an allergy to nuts, and/or soya.

All packs bought from Morrisons with label information in Polish are affected.
