Man dies after trike struck by two cars

A 70-year-old man has died after sustaining serious injuries in a collision near Hythe, police have said.

The incident took place at around 9.45am on April 29.

Officers were called to a collision in Sandling Road, Postling, where a black Talisman trike was travelling northbound.

It then collided with a silver Ford car and a white Hyundai car.

The rider of the trike sustained serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital.

Police have today (May 10) confirmed the rider subsequently died.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) say they are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

They have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward.
