The A20 has been closed in both directions tonight (Thursday) following a multi-vehicle accident.

Highways England says that the road is closed in both directions at Capel Le Ferne.

On Inrix traffic management system, it's being reported that the incident started shortly before 8pm.

They say: "A20 London bound blocked, stationary traffic due to multi-vehicle accident from B2011 (Court Wood Interchange) to Alkham Valley Road (Hawkinge / Alkham).

"Affecting traffic to and from the Port of Dover."
