Photos from the scene show the huge emergency service response after the death of a woman near Aylesham.

Police were called to the Aylesham Road area of Snowdown shortly after 4pm yesterday (April 27).

Images show several police cars and a police van, while forensics officers in white suits carried out investigations.

Reports on social media suggested a fire engine was also at the scene.

The investigation continued into Wednesday morning (April 28) after police were initially called on Tuesday (April 27)

As of 9pm, Kent Police officers remained on Aylesham Road as they continued enquiries into the woman's death.

In a statement, police confirmed they were trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Forensics teams worked into the night after police were called

A spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at around 4.10pm on Tuesday (April 27) following the death of a woman in the Aylesham Road area of Snowdown.

“Officers are currently at the scene carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
