Emergency services have descended on Aylesham following the death of a woman.

Police were called to the Aylesham Road area of Snowdown shortly after 4pm today (April 27).

Reports on social media suggested that forensics teams and a fire engine were also on the scene.

As of 9pm, Kent Police officers remain there as they continue enquiries into the death.

In a statement, police confirmed they were trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at around 4.10pm on Tuesday (April 27) following the death of a woman in the Aylesham Road area of Snowdown.

“Officers are currently at the scene carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
