Everyone knows renters have to swim against the tide when it comes to the property market.

Prices continue to rise faster than average monthly mortgage payments, going up by some 6.8 per cent last year outside of London.

There are also more renters than ever before, Government figures showing some 4.5 million across the country in 2017 compared to 2.8 million in 2007.

But the good news for people in Kent is there are parts of the county that appear to offer genuine value for money for renters.
