Some 22 towns across Kent & Medway now have fewer than three active coronavirus cases, meaning the Government counts their data as "suppressed".

Infection rates have been tumbling across the county after the vaccine rollout and several months of lockdown.

Five of 13 districts currently have rates below 10 per 100,000, meaning fewer than one in 10,000 people living there has tested positive for the virus in the last week.

Nevertheless clusters of COVID-19 remain, with some 27 neighbourhoods still recording new cases.

But many more neighbourhoods, some 189, have fewer than three cases – meaning Government data is "suppressed" and the area's marked white on the official map.

It means 22 whole towns can now be considered to have effectively eradicated COVID-19.

Or at least until the next wave takes hold.

For some towns, it was back in February when official Government data was last recorded there, meaning they have had fewer than three cases and probably none for several weeks.

The towns below have all of their neighbourhoods marked white.

Also included is the last date the Government recorded coronavirus cases there.
