Kent Police officers discovered a firearm following a car chase at the weekend.
The police pursuit took place on the coastbound M20 in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, April 10.
The incident ended at junction 5 for Aylesford, near Maidstone.
Once stopped, officers searched the vehicle and found a live firearm, which was seized at the scene.

Class B drugs and two mobile phones were also found in the vehicle and confiscated.
Kane McLeod, 30, of Wandsworth Avenue in Derby has now faces multiple charges including possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Mr McLeod's other charges are possessing a firearm when prohibited for life, disqualified driving, driving without insurance, refusing a preliminary roadside drug test and two counts of class B drugs.
Mr McLeod has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 12.
