Woman stabbed to death at block of flats in Greenwich

A woman has died after being stabbed in a block of flats in Greenwich.

Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 2.18am today (April 4), to reports of a seriously injured woman inside the flats in Ravine Grove, SE18.

Officers found a woman who had suffered stab injuries.

She died around an hour later despite the efforts of paramedics.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

He remains in custody at a south London police station.

Officers are still working to establish the identity of the woman, and a post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

Police cordons remain in place at the location as officers continue their enquiries to establish the full circumstances.
