Police are investigating reports a driver ‘almost kidnapped’ a girl in Northfleet.
Kent Police say the incident happened on New House Lane at around noon on Tuesday (March 30)
The driver of a black car attempted to speak to a girl as she was walking along the road.
After the girl refused to speak, the vehicle drove away and the girl called a relative who contacted the police, who have since met both of them in person.

Kent Police are now appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
A post on Facebook highlighting the incident has been shared nearly 100 times already.
He said: "Kent Police is investigating a report that the driver of a black car attempted to speak with a girl as she walked in New House Lane, Northfleet, at around noon on Tuesday 30 March 2021.
The girl refused to speak with the occupant and the vehicle drove away. She then called a relative, who promptly collected her, and upon receiving the report officers immediately met in person with both of them.
"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 01474 366149 quoting 46/52032/21.
