Road cordoned off for hours after reports of a ‘seriously injured man’

A road was cordoned off for several hours after police were called to reports of a 'seriously injured' man.

Officers attended the incident at Evelina Road in Penge with London Ambulance Service paramedics at around 10.50am yesterday (March 21).

The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

Enquiries to establish the circumstances are ongoing but it has been confirmed that the man had not been stabbed.
